The following is an approximate itinerary for a 15 day retreat. Every retreat is subdivided into 3 consecutive stages - Healing, Transformation, and Liberation. The length of each stage depends on the length of the entire retreat (from 10 to 30 days) and the starting energy level of the group, with Healing stage usually being the longest, and Liberation stage being the shortest
The intent of the Healing retreat is to heal enough of the past (episodes, emotions, views, judgments, opinions, physical health, etc) for the perception to free up from its rooted habitual position. In other words, during this step, we primarily deal with being out of our element and distinguishing everything that comes up in that new space. We also focus on different issues that are already on the surface, with a purpose of dissolving them and removing attachments. The activities during this stage include basic Yoga, long hours of relaxation, 3 cleansing Ayahuasca ceremonies, 1 Mescalito guidance ceremony, diet, bodywork and massage, coaching in self observation and distinguishing areas of personal identification and attachment, reading preparation books, and hiking.
The intent of the Transformation retreat is to grow enough in inner silence, presence and concentration to allow for the movement of perception. During this stage, once the perception has been freed up, we will guide it towards other deep areas of tension, as well as new and unexplored areas of self. At the same time we will slowly grow in peace, acceptance and equanimity to allow for continuous purification and self-discovery. The activities during this stage include more Yoga, 1 hour passive meditations, Chi gong, mantra and music meditations, energy work, Tibetan bowl healing, further reading and relaxation, San Pedro diet, other plant diets, discussion forums, coaching and exploration through conversation, coca ceremonies, and healing sun baths.
The intent of the Liberation retreat is to fully surrender to the flow of transformation, to attain freedom from the personal self, to eliminate deep rooted blockages and tensions, and to receive direct teachings from the spirit. During this stage we will focus all our accumulated personal power towards fulfilling the intent of participation. The activities during this stage include Salvia Divinorum ceremonies, Ayahuasca ceremonies, San Pedro ceremonies, long passive meditations, along with possible days of silence, isolation and fasting.
