The Schedule

Since we have 30 days allocated for the retreat, we have no need for an official schedule – which means no single day will resemble the previous. We will allow intuition to spontaneously guide us through the day, from exercise session, to body work sessions, with conversations, passive meditation, meals, music and whatever extra activities you choose to do that day, either together or separately. The first week, as we are getting used to the new surroundings and getting slowly related with each other, we may visit the city and it’s attractions. We may choose to do a day track into the forest, visit some neighboring village over night or two, take a river boat ride, or you may simply stay in the confines of the center to read, relax and just be. Since one of the main goals is growing in inner silence through awareness and concentration, whatever activity you participate in, make sure you stay mindful of yourself inside and out. The benefit of the retreat comes from working continuously – the accumulation of continuous awareness will be the fuel for a major breakthrough. Always remember that you are not here on vacation – you are here on a retreat. Concentrate fully on whatever you are doing. For example, when you lie down to sleep, continue being aware, and as you wake up, don’t slouch, wake yourself up, sit up, then relax and become aware of your feelings and thoughts. And like this, moment to moment, whether you are exercising or just being with yourself – always aware, observant, vigilant. We will take some hours of the day to do something more official, like exercise, chant or meditate together. This will give us a boost to stay alert throughout the day. We will have a couple of big meals during the day, and feel free to snack, and don’t be embarrassed to ask for more food if you are hungry. We will have special diets on day of the plant ceremonies. The day after the plant ceremonies will be even more easy going, since the medicine continues to work for 24 hours. Some days we will engage in homeopathic doses of San Pedro – this creates an extra light of awareness and presence, that may raise the intensity of the occurrence. Another detail to mention is that our activities, through the 30 days, will slowly progress towards less action and more being. As the mind will begin to slow down, thoughts will silence, and the world will begin to stop. In this kind of space, subconscious material will begin to surface, and we will work on completing, detoxifying, rebalancing and transforming that energy into pure being. The more material you can touch upon, the more natural freedom you will accumulate. All this accumulated energy can be used to reach realizations, higher dimensional experiences, deeper knowledge and fixation of consciousness at higher states of being.
