Community and Communication

 

Community is a powerful tool that we are going to benefit from greatly during the retreat. By declaring ourselves a community, we raise the intensity of our presence and the power behind our combined intent. The basis of a working community is integrity between the members. In our case, integrity will be maintained if each participant maintains honesty, respect, openness, acceptance, support, trust, as well as non-judgmental and empowering attitude towards others. As the energy will begin to flow through us, it will manifest itself in our circle through our interaction with ourselves and each other. This means that our process of transformation, during the retreat, is interconnected. This means that success of each participant depends on the success of others, and the success of the group depends on the effort and determination of each member. For example, there is a loss of power for the entire group, if one person decides to do their own thing, and does not express anything to others.

Communication is the main aspect that supports community. Lack of open communication creates hidden agendas, opinions and frustrations that weigh down the space and stagnate the progress. Through honest communication it is possible to shine light on any darkness. At SpiritPath, we request that each participant, with respect for others, would openly and authentically share every tension that they cannot resolve themselves. In return every participant must promise and do their best in listening to others with objectivity and compassion. In this way, the listening of the community can be successfully utilized to raises energy levels of each individual.
